Last night Beth went sampling with the MN DNR. We sampled from Twin Points (south of Split Rock) to Silver Bay. We headed out at 8 p.m. to mark lake herring gillnets and to mark navagational hazards, and then sampled from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Navagational hazard.
More navigational hazards (notice rocks extending from island to shore).
This is mostly what I see while sampling: sky and lots of water.
Split Rock lighthouse at sunset.
Here's what I see after dark: my computer screen (basically a glorified fish-finder). We sampled to 85 m deep (or approx. 250' for you non-metric folks).
