On the pregnancy front, my aunt and cousin threw a wonderful baby shower on Saturday that was made especially memorable by the presence of many of John's family and some close friends. As a result of everyone's generosity, I think we are just about ready for this baby to make its entry into the world. Which is a good thing, because I had my 36 week check up today, so just one more week until I'm considered full-term (that's why I'm headed back to Duluth this week for one last trip before the baby arrives). Anyway, everything looks great--my blood pressure is low, the baby's heart rate is strong, and its head is mostly engaged, so my doctor thinks the odds are small that it will be in any position other than head down when the time comes for the delivery.
Here's the latest photo of my gigantic belly, taken at the baby shower:
Even with my bowling ball of a stomach, I've still been getting out every day to snowshoe on the lake or to take the dog for a walk. I'm still managing to do some yoga, too, although my belly gets in the way an awful lot. It has been a very easy pregnancy, but part of me is going to be very glad when the baby is on the outside rather than the inside of me!
