Paul is a busy, mostly happy 3-year-old, who (like most 3-year-olds) is prone to the occasional meltdown when things don't go quite according to "the plan". Unfortunately we aren't always privy to the "the plan" and don't always understand why the syrup can't be on top of the pancakes rather than on the side, or why it is important to have a blue cup rather than a yellow cup, or the tragedy of being given chicken strips without ranch dressing. "The plan" usually changes from day to day, and I'm not always convinced it isn't just to keep his parents guessing. Paul is also very verbal and occasionally prone to giving commands. We are working on maximizing politeness and minimizing whining, but anyone who has had a 3-year-old knows how challenging that can sometimes be. But for the most part, Paul is very loving, a wonderful big brother, and a good helper who loves his trucks, making cookies with his dad, and going on any sort of adventure with his grandparents.

Blog v. 2.0
I decided it was time to restart the blog, if for no other reason that it is nice for us to go back in time and see a timeline of the kids growing up and all the fun we had fishing, camping, and canoeing BK (before kids). Here are some recent pics of the boys from the last month or so. These days Kyle is really a little troublemaker, but full of belly laughs, mischief, and fun. He's climbing up on everything and saying a few words, mostly "mama", "daddy", "Paul", "more", "ball", "bug", and "gah" which means just about everything else from Nora to squirrel.
