All decked out and ready to sample. We had great weather--I am wearing raingear not because there was a chance of rain, but because it is impossible not to get soaked while pulling a zooplankton net (pictured in forefront), especially out of a canoe.

Mysis Sampling on Greenwood Lake
Last Thursday, John and I drove up to the Gunflint Trail to catch Mysis relicta (a freshwater shrimp) for some of my experiments. We first went fishing at Turnip Lake, but we didn't catch anything although there was a beautiful sunset. We had much more success catching Mysis in Greenwood Lake, which Beth is happy about since she can now finish up her lake trout experiments.
All decked out and ready to sample. We had great weather--I am wearing raingear not because there was a chance of rain, but because it is impossible not to get soaked while pulling a zooplankton net (pictured in forefront), especially out of a canoe.
