5-Star Meal

Last night, we made one of the best meals I've ever eaten. John pan-cooked venison tenderloin that was wrapped in bacon and he served it with a mushroom-parsley gravy. I made wild rice pilaf with cranberries, mushrooms, and toasted almonds. For side dishes, we had a tossed salad, and a baked delicata squash from our CSA that we had stored since this fall, served with a little brown sugar.

Mmmm.....so good. Thanks for the venison, Mom and Dad!

Sweet. I had a grilled chicken panini. It was good except for the bits of dark meat they threw in...ugh!
