Many of you have probably heard by now, but John and I are expecting!! We are both very excited, albeit a little nervous in anticipation of how our lives will change. Baby Sandberg is scheduled to make an appearance on February 9, so mark your calendars!
So far the pregnancy has gone fairly well. We did have an ultrasound about 2.5 weeks ago where we saw tiny little hands and feet, a heartbeat, the gestational sac, and the amniotic sac. Other than that, the nausea has been tolerable, and besides a few food aversions (especially shrimp and eggs), I've mostly just felt really, really fatigued.
Anyway, I just thought we would share the good news with all you folks out there. One of the things I have been thinking about a lot lately is cloth diapers. Pocket diapers, all-in-ones, covers...Gretchen was kind enough to explain all the differences to me. But those of you who have used cloth diapers...what brands did you particularly like or dislike? What worked well? What styles did you prefer?

I preferred the ones that could be used as dustcloths afterwards --nothing better!! :)

Congrats Beth and John! Dad told me the good news a few days ago but I was waiting for you to post it on your blog, just in case it was not full public knowledge yet!
I used disposable diapers so I cannot help you on that one. They are expensive and you use a ton of them. Thank goodness we are now done with them! We probably spent a good 65 bucks on them a month, and that was buying in bulk at Sam's Club!
Congratulations! You are right your lifes will never be the same again once the newborn arrives but it is well worth it! I had used the regular cloth diapers but soon switched over to the disposable. I really can't remember at what child I did that with. Beth, I too was very, very tired with all of my pregnancies. And certain foods I couldn't eat either. I do remember living off of coke and crackers in the early stages.
Congratulations! I am so excited for the two of you! You are going to be awesome parents! How does Nora feel about this? I bet she is really excited, too!
Incredible news!!!!!!!!!!
Exciting times and what portend to be great parentals!!
