The thermometer on the tree outside our cabin has read -25 F the last two mornings when I've gotten up. Yesterday, there was also a 25 mph northwest wind blowing across the lake, making for a brutal -45 F windchill. It was so cold that the bottle of Dawn dish detergent sitting inside on the kitchen windowsill froze!
Luckily, the wind has died down today, so even though it is still -20 F, it was warm enough to take Nora out on the lake for her morning walk.

Huh--do you have double paned windows? That's pretty scary . . .
Brrr!
