Even though I've been busy, I still have to take the dog for walk. Today was a nice afternoon, so we went for a long hike in the woods. The leaves are finally coming out in Duluth! It is amazing how glorious it is to see leaves after such a long, cold winter and spring.

Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down today.
Nothing gold can stay.

Is it just me, or are those leaves already turning brown and red and yellow and into fall colors? :-)
How did you know that I was reciting that poem to myself as I drove to work today? That early first green is indescribable!
I am so glad it is finally spring for you guys! I am so excited about seasons. I can't wait to get to MN. We are leaving here one week from Sunday! OMG! I love your photos and I love the Robert Frost poem. Have you read "The Outsiders?" There is a cool part in the book where they talk about that poem. Yeah! I hope to see you soon!
I cannot believe you are just now getting leaves. In May. Craziness!
