Yay! I passed my written exams. My orals are scheduled for May 27...maybe by June 1 I'll be considered a "Ph.D. Candidate". Keep your fingers crossed for me.
My abstract was also accepted for the 2008 American Fisheries Society Annual Meeting, so I'll be traveling to Ottawa in mid August to make an oral presentation for the "salmonids in lakes" contributed session. Hopefully, the MPCA will allow John to tag along, too. Now I've got to start applying for travel money.
Back to writing a review paper for my hydrology class and putting together my oral exam talk to present to my lab group early next week.

Hey, Beth......CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Maybe very soon you can have a "real life" and get back to the lake and relax.
Way to go!! As always, I am so proud of you!!! xoxox Mom
What happens May 28-June 1st? You're a graduate student in limbo?
Good luck!
Congratulations!!!
Fingers, toes and eyes are crossed for June 1st!
We also enjoyed the Pointed Tail Grouse pictures and video very much. Not long before seeing your pictures we saw a show on the Sage Grouse and their mating habits as well as the mating habits of other animals. Amazing isn't it, what one will do to attract a member of the opposite sex.
Dude. It sounds like you are busy!
