All Moved In

After a week of packing, moving, and unpacking...we are finally settled into the cabin in Nisswa. I'm proud that I was able to fit 3/4 of the stuff that filled a 17' moving truck into a one-bedroom cabin (the rest went into a small storage space that we are renting) with, as John said after coming back from his conference to find that I had unpacked everything, "it not looking all that different than before".

Here are some pics as proof. You can compare them to the "before" pics I took this winter.

We managed to squeeze our queen-size bed and two dressers into the tiny bedroom. That's the quilt my mom made us for a wedding gift.

Also, we added another couch and moved things around a bit in the "family room"

Added a bookshelf and some plants to the "dining room".

Moved more stuff into the "office".

The kitchen looks largely the same, despite unpacking 2 gigantic boxes full of cookware, three boxes of dishes, and 6 boxes of food. Yes, it was a masterful job of reorganizing the cupboards.

View from the dock. Today is yet another day of cold, wet, blustery weather.

Yesterday, I talked the kid across the street into bailing my dad's old boat that he is letting us use. Of course, then last night we had another 1.5 inches of rain. Looks like I'll have to bail it myself this time.

Great pictures of both the cabin and Nora.

Now get my old boat bailed out before it sinks!
