Last Thursday and Friday, we suffered through -20 F temperatures at night (that's actual temperatures, not windchill). It was cold both outside and inside the cabin. Here's the evidence:
Frost on the kitchen window
The Dawn dish soap froze
Still -5 F in the sun at 11:00 a.m.
Nora wondering why the heck her morning walk was so short
We usually set the thermostat at about 62 in the cabin to try and conserve on propane. But, no, it definitely does not feel super warm! Usually, I supplement the heat with a space heater while I'm working on my computer because my hands get so cold.
We have one wool blanket and two quilts on our bed. I usually wear fleecy pants or flannels to bed. I can't wait for spring!!

What is the temperature like inside your house? How many blankets do you have to sleep with at night?
Although I guess if is so cold, can you set your thermostat to 55 degrees and feel super warm?
