Fall Colors

After the ultrasound last Friday, we took the dog grouse hunting for a little while. I decided to hang back and take some pictures of the trees that were just beginning to turn, while John and Nora tried their luck at finding some birds. No grouse dinners yet, but Nora did find her second porcupine of the year. At least she decided not to approach this one, so John didn't have to pull out any quills.

Beautiful pics! I can't believe you hunt grouse after taking videos of them at 4am...

I was just thinking how interesting it is that fall/winter is when your world goes from green to brown, yet when my world goes from brown to green. Gotta love weather!

Porcupine has a nice flavor, maybe you should trust the dog more.

Wonderful photographs!
I haven't had a grouse dinner in ages. I haven't hunted in ages. I used to hunt for grouse and woodcock and enjoyed cooking them.

Thanks for sharing the great shots!
