Last night we went to an area mine pit lake designated as a trout lake that was supposed to contain brown trout. Imagine our surprise when instead of trout, we caught little bass after little bass. Our best guess is that a "bucket biologist" decided that they would rather catch a few largemouth bass than brown trout, and bass, being voracious eaters, quickly wiped out the brown trout stocked by the DNR. In any case, I did catch one hefty bass that put up a good fight on my five-weight fly rod.

Well, that really sucks!
There are bass practically everywhere so why did someone have to put them in a trout lake?
